Training dogs

There are two easy reward approaches to training that may work for you. Some dogs are food driven, therefore a food reward of a small treat during training works well. Other dogs are more play driven. This may include petting and praising your dog or rewarding him with a favorite toy. If you are using a toy, keep the “reward” play time very short during training. Most dogs respond well to two training sessions a day that lasts about 10 – 15 minutes each. Which ever method you use make sure that you and your dog have fun during training, which will help your dog learn faster.

What methods have you used that worked?
